Job Summary
We are looking to add a new member to our business team: this is a multi-faceted role that will give you the opportunity to play a key role in the growth and development of Reaktor. You’ll start building client relationships from the sales process onwards, as you help to turn leads into accounts. Our low-hierarchy set-up will give you autonomy and trust to drive growth based on your knowledge and expertise.
Responsibilities
Account management
Managing cross-functional client-facing teams made up of engineers and designers, taking an active role in building strong client relationships and driving growth within projects and accounts, managing finances, and being a strategy partner to your clients while balancing the needs and requirements of your Reaktor teams.
Driving client growth & building client relationships
- Elevating Reaktor’s visibility at client organizations, including prospecting within new departments
- Being hands-on when it comes to building relationships with your clients and becoming a trusted advisor
- Driving strategic planning meetings to discuss partnerships, project evolution, strategic focus, budgets, potential new opportunities, referrals, etc.
- Leading account planning and regular business reviews with clients
- Conducting regular market research to better advise clients on new potential growth opportunities
- Understanding the different ways and approaches that each client needs to be managed e.g. some clients are more focused on competitor analysis, customer and industry trends, and are looking for a hands-on strategic advisor whereas other clients place more value in autonomy for consultant teams driving innovation and solving problems
- Navigating the negotiation and contract process with clients and procurement
- Active management of account finances, such as:
- SOW creation, tracking, and renewals
- Forecast and projection
- Budget utilization
- Rates negotiation
- Invoicing and burn reports
Collaborating with Reaktor teams
- Hands-on with client relationships and hands-off in terms of managing day-to-day project work, working in a low hierarchy organization translates to trusting your team and managing your workflow end-to-end
- Frequently meeting with your teams to help ensure excellence in service provided, suggesting best practices, helping to spot and manage risk, and helping with issue resolution
- Balancing teams’ needs with the client's needs and requirements, as well as keeping in mind what Reaktor needs as a business
- External clients — why would they let Reaktor help them solve their challenges?
- Internal team — what does the team need for success? What makes this an interesting project for them to want to join in?
- Reaktor as a whole — what makes this work good business for Reaktor? Why would we prioritize your project over another when it comes to staffing, funding, etc.?
- Partnering closely with your team (engineers and designers) to spot new opportunities, prioritizing them, and turning them into growth
- Working closely with Reaktor NA’s Head of Account Management to ensure client and business goals are being met
